My teacher is cooler than yours!

This Friday we have opened doors to Ethics and Values exhibition organised by our amazing tutors of Suffolk New College.
If I had teachers like I have now, when I was going to school 20 years ago, I would want to study forever!
But would I really?
I want to clear something out…
When I was younger I thought some teachers didn’t like me, in fact, I thought some really hated me! Therefore, I hated them... ( I understand hate is a strong word, but that is how I felt then)
Now that I am going to college as a mature student I can compare myself to my younger self, and why I thought some teachers disliked me.
It was far from the truth!
I realised that we only perceive situations in the capacity of our own understanding.
Teachers always want best for students, I can see that now, but teachers are also different people with different personalities.
When I was in my teens I know I wouldn’t digest some of the things I hear now in the same way, and that’s ok. It is part of growing process.
If I could go back and give my younger self advice - it would be to accept who you are throughout different stages in life and accept others as different human beings before any status they carry in society.
