Still don’t know where to spend your summer holidays?

I have just come back from the Lake District and I can confirm that this is one of the best destinations in England for adventurous souls!

We stayed not far from Windermere lake in a little lodge on a campsite (Moss Howe Farm Campsite), but we have travelled all over the Lake District.

My favourite were wild places or not so easily reached places by the public.

I do like a challenge!

Walking side by side to Stanley Ghyll Force Waterfall, Eskdale

This was one of them, at first it was very easy to walk up, but then we have chosen to walk down the other side and there was no footpath, so we literally had to climb like mountain goats and fight through the jungle of spiderwebs. It was so much fun and I felt that it was a big test for us as a family too, Leon (my 4 year old son) was very brave and conquered his little fears like a champion. (You can choose to walk down the same route and it is more easy.)

Climbing in Cumbrian mountains, Glenridding

We have found this walk by accident as we were looking to climb to the top of the mountain, after some research, we have stopped on a lay-by, spontaneously,  just on the south of Ullswater lake and we found the path to go up. The path was not marked for pedestrians, nor it was officially on the map, but it was pretty accessible. However, I would not recommend this if you have not done climbing before.

Swimming with Swans in Ullswater lake, GLENCOYNE

This was another magical experience, not so busy, even birds were roaming free around the lake beach not spooked by us swimmers. There is a car park right next to it, parking location number is 803365. It has stones, so only for tough feet, but so worth it with views like these.

Another summer holiday over, another commission is done! As they say: work hard, play hard! Or, play hard, work hard in my case.

Here is a happy selfie from my client in America. Yes, it is already there, safe and sound! I am pleased about this one, because not only did I get to let my creativity flow, but I also achieved something that has a lot of meaning to the person owning it now.

Thank you for your trust in me and I am looking forward to making more unique sculptures for you.

Get in touch while I still have some summertime in my hands before I carry on with fine art studies at the University of Suffolk.
